Brighton is best known as the seaside resort of London in the U.K., which is about 47 miles (76 km) south of London, and connected with a convenient train ride. It is a popular destination for tourists, with its quirky shopping areas, large and vibrant culture, art and music scenes and popular for international conferences. Brighton is also called the UK’s hippest city and happiest place to live in the UK. Incidentally, it also has a large LGBT population and thus considered the unofficial gay capital of the UK.
Most of the major attractions in Brighton were built in the Victoria era, some of which were captured in pictures here.
